I agree, and that's why I focus on the motivation behind allegedly "evil" acts.
But the question still remains: is there something other than nature + nurture? Nobody seems to be focusing on this pivitol question.

Sure there is. I mean some of the best raised people still commit heinous acts sometimes.

However, only an individual person knows IMO, when something they did was "good" or "evil".

It's that little voice (and no you dont learn it environmentally). It's just there. Think back to the first thing you feel you did that you felt was "evil", or not really evil, but just bad.

Why it's there? How it gets there?

That's something YOU WILL NEVER get answered by science, by tests, by philosophy, or anything the world has to offer.

But I think YOU can answer it to yourself. Consciousness/a soul/whatever you want to callit? You know when you commit a deed that breaks nature's stability.

Because its not such a pivotal question. What else are you proposing? A tug of war between angels and demons?

Depends on the consequences of the act.

Except it's already been explained by science. Read Richard Dawkins' The Selfish Gene.

I'd give everything I own to see Richard Dawkins on his death-bed.

Dawkins is an ideologue. A smart one, it's true, but a myopic ideologue nonetheless.

I don't think the alternative to nature+nurture is angels and demons. What about real, honest, cognition?
Of course, you coud say that our cognition is altered by whatever prism with which we were raised, but I still think the ability to cognate is what sets us apart from the animals. And if one can cognate, one can decipher the difference between good and "evil." Right?

Although I'm sickened by "Evil" deeds, looked at through a dualistic view, nothing will ultimately be gained, for your forced into a stand point of condemning and therefore making yourself morally superior, which again is wrong/false/evil...

Evil can and will be viewed as many different things, but IMO it's nothing more then another aspect of life/learning/experience, which is then your choice on how you accept it.

You either live in Compassion, or you Condemn.

He has actually stated numerous times that he will have a tape recorder next to him on his death bed so idiots like you don't perpetuate some bullshit rumors after he dies.
