Dimon :"I don’t think people should be able to pass unlimited amounts to their kids.”

LOL funny stuff he just shot up David Koch sh*t list. Yes Jamie Dimon just said that the richest of the rich should pay more of their wealth to taxes. He supports the idea that there should be a higher tax rate for people over a million and even higher for over 10 million. They want to call it “Dimon Rule” for the idea that people need to pay more taxes. I am sure he got tons of hate email from his inner circle over this news story. His ideas are even more progressive then Buffetts it seems.

Forget Buffett — it’s time for the Dimon Rule on taxes - The Washington Post

When even Dimon thinks it's too much, that is pretty fucking bad.

I just don't know anymore. I'm inclined to err on the side of freedom in most cases. Better for keeping power out of the government's hands. Capitalism works mostly and we shouldn't need to just blatantly take peoples' money away like that.

There's nothing 'progressive' about stealing from people and blatantly lying that the money will go toward helping the poor or some other money sink the government declares 'helpful'. Not to mention the 'estate tax' which is already in place is a rather large percent.

I have a question: If an American dies outside the US, does the US government get the estate tax payment?

Colombia has no estate tax. If I have dual citizenship and move all my billions (assuming I had them) abroad before I die, my wealth would transfer tax free, right? Seems too easy...

This is a decision that should always be determined by the parent. Not something written into law.

YEah, why don't we just confiscate all their assets... that will show'em.

Listen, it's called inherited wealth. Research it and why it is a cancer at the top end. Your anti government bullshit can get the hell out of this thread.
