CNN Article that makes no sense to me...
Gays in Iraq terrorized by threats, rape, murder - CNN.com
The gist of the article is that homosexuals aren't treated very nicely in Iraq. When the subject of this article was kidnapped, the terrorists/criminals didn't know he was gay. Until he took his shirt off and they noticed he shaved his chest.
(No, the article doesn't explain why he took his shirt off.)
So did they kill this guy for being gay? Nope. They raped him. Repeatedly.
My question: Assume you are a dude. You're straight and you hate gays. Wouldn't raping a guy (straight, gay, short, tall, skinny, fat, hostage, consensual, whatever) be, oh I don't now, GAY?
Help me out here. I'm confused. How did I get to be near 40 and married and not understand this type of stuff?

Makes no sense. I'd guess that raping someone like that is probably the ultimate insult (which to be fair, it kinda sorta is)....but it's a pretty gay insult. What ever happened to a good old fashioned f*g drag like the one Mr. Garrison used to call for?

Well, they didn't say "sodomized with broom sticks like some NYPD supposedly did to some suspect a few years back. (Sorry. Don't remember all the details as I don't live in NY and my memory isn't so good anyway.)
