Iran 'fails to heed nuclear call'

Mr Ahmedinejad said Iranians should not be denied their rights
Iran has failed to comply with a UN Security Council call to suspend nuclear fuel enrichment, the head of the UN nuclear watchdog has concluded.
Mohamed ElBaradei told the UN Security Council that Tehran had done little to answer questions over its intentions.

The UN wants the research halted amid Western fears - denied by Iran - that Tehran might develop nuclear weapons.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said earlier Iran did not "give a damn" about UN resolutions over its research.

Mr ElBaradei's report to the Security Council said Iran had refused to halt uranium enrichment and was blocking IAEA inquiries.

Does anyone know why Iran is still in the UN? Why doesn't Iran just leave the UN then it wouldn't be subject to any UN resolutions?

as long as their two best friends, china and iran, remain on the security council, they wont have to worry about the resolutions you speak of.

If USA backs down on this, they appear very weak to the rest of the world and Iran becomes a major regional power. Iran have essentially told USA to go fuck itself.

I am not so sure as Iran thinks the resolutions are coming. What IF the UN does put resoltuions on Iran why then wouldn't Iran just leave the UN? Also about the original article this is the part i found very disturbing: "Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also said this week Iran was ready to share its nuclear technology with other nations." End Quote. I would be very curious to know who Iran wants to share Nuclear technology with.

Forget nuking Israel, THIS is the area that you should be worried about.

Contrary to popular belief, Saudi Arabia is not awash in oil. Almost all of their output comes from one network of fields centered around the supergiant Ghawar, the world´s largest single oil-producing rock formation. And it´s all scrunched up in a relatively small area of the country, and a quick glance at the map put it well within range of Iran´s missiles. It doesn´t even have to be a nuclear strike. A volley of conventional missiles can yank the rug out from under the world´s economy in a day.

And you can bet your ass that those missiles will be launched if the US moves against Iran.
