Well Mr. Brilliant, show us the proof of genetics as the cause of homosexuality. Then tell us - who actually are rational - how homosexual acts are not disordered and are the equivalent of natural heterosexual acts. Should a woman be able to declare a vibrator as a dependent? or a pet? Where does the irrrationality end?
Those of us that are rational on the matter, and it is still the majority come referendum time, are still calling the Emperor naked - no matter how finely he tries to dress up, he is irrational. We can see how nakedly ridiculous this looks.
Homosexual coupling is NOT marriage. If a 4-3 decision by the CA court was that the earth was flat, that wouldn't make it so. That they say gay "marriage" is marriage doesn't make it so. Those of us that are rational can see that.
As I said in my first posts, the US Supreme court will eventually have to deal with the issue and fortunately they are more rational than then 4-3 decsion coming out of California. Then, too, one or two on the CA supreme court might die or retire, and the thing can swing back.
They had a man on TV here in San Diego commenting on the decision. He is gay, and he is against gay marriage. He says, rationally and legally, it just isn't marriage and the 4 court judges were wrong.

Who gives a shit if it's genetics or if it's a choice.
Marriage should be a choice for whoever wants to go through with it as well.
You're right though. It's not the right for judges to decide marriage...straight or gay.
Marriage should be left private. That's it.

There is proof, certain genetic markers have been strongly correlated to homosexuality. Homosexuals also seem to show significant differences in the size of some parts of their brains.
Of course its not 100% genetic, almost nothing is, but it is strongly determined by genes.
Im not going to post the sources, Ive posted them a few times already and I know Im not going to convince you even if I give you absolute irrefutable evidence, so find it yourself if you really care about it.
Im not going to search through my books every time some bigot demands hard evidence for the point he opposes.

This was all specifically discussed earlier in this thread. Go back and read the posts, don't go over the same territory we already covered.

They do because that's your whole argument against it.
It's irrelevant. The courts should not interfere with people's private matters unless those matters are directly physically harming or threatening somebody else.
If 2 gays get married, it's their business. It should be their personal choice. And regardless of whether this law holds, fortune 500 corporations are now offering gay spouses health insurance.
This shows that only backwards thinking people are against this, and that the true innovators of the world respect somebody's right to do what he or she chooses to do with their life.

I dont care what territory you think you covered, I have my genetics book and my developmental biology book and they both say you are wrong.
