California Supreme Court Legalizes Same-Sex Marriage

Just saw this on MSNBC, California becomes second state to legalize same-sex marriages. Personally it doesn't bother me, but I know it's a touchy subject for many people... and very important for employers who may/will be required to provide insurance for the spouse.

Nice, you must be in teh closet, eh, hoser?
They did reopen the OT you know? That way --->

On a more civilized note - if they are going to keep marriage an contract that must be sanctified and recognized by the state, they must allow it to all civil union contracts.

It's just too bad the idea of state endorsed marriages were not thrown out completely.

I have yet to think of one *good* reason why the state needs to sanctify my marriage with my wife - I'm happy enough with our mutually agreed upon civil contract being recognized by our friends and family.

Waiting for McCain's friend Hagee to predict massive earthquake as punishment for gay sins.
