This story has largely been ignored by the US media.
An off-duty soldier took a gun from a security guard at the scene and shot the terrorist, who cried "Allah Akhbar" (God is great) before being killed. The soldier, Moshe Plesser, was assisted in neutralizing the attacker by Eli Mizrahi, a member of police's elite Yasam anti-terror unit.

This is despicable. I love how there are 18 replies in this thread, but if you put up a thread saying Israel is teh evil, 400 Middle East experts immediately agree and say Israel is responsible for every problem in the world, the Palestinians are all innocent victims, the other Arab countries are being forced to violence by Israel, and that if Israel didn't exist, there would be peace in the region.
I am not sure who actually wants peace at this point.
