I get a bit bored reading about Norways GDP blah blah blah but I find the global peace index alot more gratifying, I am pleased with the fact that I grew up in the 4th placed country and now reside in the 1st placed!

Is this index BS? and what are your thoughts on it....

Its pretty bizarre to see two countries who caused millions of deaths (Japan and Germany) in the blue, and three countries who went to war with them (Canada, Australia, UK) in the blue as well. So obviously history isnt an impact on this survey.

Also Belgium and Germany are home to world class elite military grade weapons that are exported around the world.. yeah still blue.

Some of the other indicators are bizarre... number of jailed people... military sophistication... potential for terrorist attacks... level of distrust in other citizens... the impact of these is subjective at best.
