Not condoning, but shitty things happen on both sides of any war...which is why we shouldn't have been out there in the first place.

British troops withdrawing from EU initially in WWII were going "insane" and raping etc., its human nature to go bonkers when witnessing death and destruction. People aren't hard wired to kill other people (on a whole).
