I don't know what the % would be, or what would actually qualify someone as "corrupt", but I'd say the locals are least corrupt because their decisions directly affect their friends and family, whereas the higher up the chain a politician goes, the less their decisions affect their own family and friends. Just my opinion though.

I'd like to add one more thing. Where do you believe all the drugs cops confiscated actually goes?
Most likely a secret "government" group comes to collect it to dispose of it. Most likely this group works for politicians and as soon as they get the "goods" back into their hands they ship it right back to the streets.
This is going to bring up a whole different debate but US is one of the biggest spenders on the war on drugs, which greatly overshadows the fact that they spend the most to bring drugs into the US.

i like cops. i always have. but ever since you divulged that you are one (allegedly for we shall never know) my opinion of cops has gone way down. all i can do is tell myself i hope you are just some 14 year old who lies about his job, becuase than i cant rest at ease knowing the US police didnt actually hire anyone like you who posts the crap you do in other threads.
how hated, and defensive you must feel to make this thread. youre an awesome addition to any force, you must get paid really well to sit at your computer all day long while other cops are actually out stopping crime.

You are kidding with that aren’t you? I know there is plenty of corruption out there but a secret "government" group is kind of out there.

I know exactly where ours go. They go into evidence, and then are sent to the lab. That gives us a printout to confirm the substance so we can make the case in court. After that? The state LE division takes them and they are burned. If there was that much corruption as you suggest, someone would leak it to CNN in exchange for the million dollar payday for the interview.

And you don't think CNN or for that matter all top news stations are in the pockets of our government?

Possibly. Honestly, I'm not into the conspiracy theory that the government is putting drugs on the street. I know what we have been taught. We know about the drugs being brought in over the border, from S.A. and other places. We know how crack is made- cocaine and baking soda- so we know the government didn't put crack into the ghetto, they make it on stoves in a basic cooking pot.
I don't think the government is putting drugs in the streets. Its just my opinion. You may disagree, and thats fine. I can say that if that conspiracy is indeed true, it is occurring FAR above the local cops in American cities because we know nothing about it. If that were the case, it is happening so far up the ladder it would be scary, and the CIA must have some ghetto and redneck looking guys to run these drugs into the cities, because we catch them all the time and I've never seen a CIA ID card.
But, I'm just a local city guy, not a fed, so what do I know.
