As for the coke and weed burning their brains... it is their choice. As long as they do not infringe on another's happiness there is no crime. Many great thinkers like Carl Sagan (Weed) and Sigmund Freud (Coke) were on these brain burning substances. I am sure they were smarter than both of us.
I do vote, unfortunately both parties are corrupt accomplices to the prison industrial complex. They use drones like yourself to achieve their agenda.
I applaud the police that work on real crimes... burglary, robbery, murder, rape, child exploitation etc... but cops that work of drugs, prostitution, gambling, etc.. are scum bags.

Well, I hate to inform you on two awful facts:
1- Cops who work murder, rape, burglary, etc, are the same ones who work drugs, hookers, gambling. See, all cops enforce all the same laws. See, when we put our hand up and swear in and take an oath, we swear to enforce all laws set by local, state and constitution.
2- I'm also a Ron Paul supporter. I know that just blew your mind, but I am.
Now, how would you suggest we handle DUI's? Let me propose a question for you. I pull up to a bar 2 minutes after closing. There are 20 people who are drunk and trying to drive home. Since, by YOUR policy, we dont arrest DUI's but rather become a taxi service, we have to begin giving rides home. We tell them all to wait their turn. One doesn't wait, he leaves while we taxi someone else, and kills a family member of yours. Would be be upset that we didn't arrest him?
You say that 20 DUI's in a parking lot is unrealistic? Why? If the local cops taxi rather than arrest DUI's, then what would deter anyone from getting wasted and driving home? We do work for you. Which is why we lock up DUI's so they won't kill you or your family.

i didnt know that. makes sense though.
i have family members and friends that cant drive because of DUI and i dont feel bad for them the least bit. friends of mine in high school got badly hurt. 8-10 decided to get into one car and drive. they ran a stop sign and they all got hurt bad. people in the trunk were hurt the worst. wasnt fatal.... this time.

drugs often lead to murder.. many a murder has happened to innocent people in the crossfire. many drug problems end up with murder in the family. my sisters friend is a victim. her brother was tied to a chair and lit on fire and burned a live because he was a drug dealer. well, his family didnt die, but they dont have a home anymore.
gambling... its not illegal. thats why there are casinos.

Yeah, its true. In fact the place I work now has a "No Descretion DUI Policy". It states that if you come in contact with a person who is DUI, you MUST arrest- no exceptions. It is mandatory arrest, no matter who they are. The policy also states the arrestee is not allowed to speak to ANYONE associated with the police department or city government until after the are in the jail. Why? This policy prevents exceptions for cops, friends or local politicians. It prevents bias- so cops can't lock up Joe Blow but give his buddy a ride home. Violation of this policy is immediate termination. Its a fair policy IMO. A drunk cop will kill someone just like a drunk plumber, so they both go to jail. In fact, a local city councilman was arrested for DUI- all while threatening the cops job for doing so. The cop did his job, unbiased.

They also work longer hours, are elected, do not have unions to protect their employment status, and on average have achieved a higher level of education. Are you really confused over why a house rep. gets paid more than a teacher?

No I completely understand because our education system is a bunch of bullshit. Too much is taught and learned then re-taught and re-learned in a different mannerism. If teachers were actually educating our children properly and raising intelligences through learning, then they should obviously make more money than most people in america. But alas our government doesn't want the average public to become to educated or smart because this will interfere with their plans. It's so hard to even get into debate about anyways because logically our government representatives should be high paid officials if they were actually representing the public and not themselves. I'd say 90 % of govt officials are corrupt.

The trend on this board is to hate cops for doing their jobs.
