80% of Repub voters must be idiots.
How can the Repubs put up such sorry candidates as McCain, Romney and Huckabee are Repub voters just plain idiots? I mean McCain he voted against the tax cuts, he is for illegals getting amnesty and he was FOR benchmarks and ti****bles as this article shows: anuary 26, 2007

In the face of overwhelming opposition from the American public to the Bush-McCain plan to escalate the Iraq War, presidential hopeful John McCain yesterday proposed a Senate resolution that would include "a series of benchmarks" he has long opposed. [New York Times, 1/26/07] McCain emphasized that if the benchmarks set by his resolution are not met, "everyone knows the consequence...then you have to examine your mission." [CNN, 1/26/2007]
In other words, McCain is now proposing imposing benchmarks that the Iraqi government would be required to meet on a specific ti****ble, or face an American re-evaluation of its strategy. The move is a contradiction for John McCain who "has vigorously endorsed the president's war policies" and once called the idea of a ti****ble "a recipe for disaster." [Washington Post, 1/26/07; Birmingham News, 11/22/05] Just over a month ago, McCain went so far as to say that "placing a limited timeframe...would only induce Iraqis to side with militias" and against Americans. [Arizona Republic, 12/7/06]
"Increasingly isolated for his stubborn support of the President's failed strategy in Iraq, John McCain is again contradicting himself hoping to have it both ways as he seeks the Republican nomination," said Democratic National Committee spokesman Luis Miranda. "The American people want a new direction in Iraq and principled leadership. McCain's call for benchmarks is a call for the ti****ble he has long opposed and another example he's willing to do anything to get elected."
Today McCain Wants Benchmarks. "Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, said he would propose giving the Iraqis a series of benchmarks to demonstrate progress." [The New York Times, 01/26/2007]
But McCain Said Ti****ble Was A "Recipe For Disaster" And Urged Colleagues To Show Some "Backbone." McCain, calling Iraq a "noble cause" and saying that to "prevail" in Iraq required "a little backbone," slammed Murtha's proposal for a ti****bled troop redeployment. McCain said, "To set a ti****ble, when it doesn't comply with the situation on the ground, I think is a recipe for disaster." [Birmingham News, 11/22/05]
McCain Further Said A Date for Withdrawal Would Lead to Chaos. "I believe that a withdrawal, or a date for withdrawal, will lead to chaos in the region, and most military experts think the same thing." [NBC News, 11/12/06]
And That a "Timeframe" Would "Induce Iraqis to Side With Militias". The Arizona Republic reported that John McCain "said he disagrees that any such redeployment should be characterized as 'short-term,' or that any firm ti****ble for U.S. troop withdrawal should be set. 'Our troops should be sent to Baghdad, or anywhere in Iraq, in order to complete a defined mission, not to serve until some predetermined date passes...By placing a limited timeframe on our military commitments, we would only induce Iraqis to side with militias that will stay indefinitely, rather than with the U.S. and Government of Iraq.'" [Arizona Republic, 12/7/06] " End Quote. I could see if Duncan Hunter was the frontrunner but that lying b@stard McCain he is more Dem than Repub.

The problem is Mc cain might win by default because people would rather vote for a white male than a women or black president.
But then again super Tuesday (which is today) might prove us all wrong.

McCain will never beat the Dem as Mccain is almost a Dem himself.

Sadly the majority of the American public is full of idiots. That is kind of why I hate these "get out the vote"/"vote or die"/"rock the vote" campaigns - we just have more ill informed retards voting for the next worthless fuck the media panders to them. Then they wonder why things in the Country are so shitty.

Those candidates atleast push the Dem party line. The only Repub pushing the Party line on all points was Duncan Hunter and he got what 2% of the Vote. McCain has supported benchmarks in Iraq, voted against tax cuts and is for Amnesty is that really what the Repub party stands for?

So far and in all honesty, Hillary's offer of a Universal Health care is the most overdue and the most exciting prospect for the average american, or at least it should be. But again, it's just another promise from another politician and we all are well informed of her previous failures during the Clinton Admin.

Sadly, ever since the neocons took over.... Yes. The Republican party presently stands for tax policy that benefit the wealthiest individuals, unwinable aggressive war against countries that do not pose threats to our national security, protectionism for large corporate interests, big government, big spending, no border security, self righteous invasive social policy, and in general terms fascism.

Are you kidding me? Requiring everyone to purchase health insurance is not universal healthcare/socialized medicine - it is a massive handout to the insurance companies whom are now helping Clinton in her election efforts. It is no coincidence that Hillary is receiving the most money from lobbyists.

bird,
I don't think most Republicans are idiots. I think they are just fearful. Fearful from the effects from 9/11 and also from Islamic extremists. Unfortunately, that blinds a lot of them to the ideas that someone like Ron Paul has. Plus...there are many types of Republicans these days...so it's not so cut and dry...but either way...I don't want the U.S. to be in Iraq for another 100 years. I think there is a more peaceful (and more constitutional) solution to countering the rise of Islamic terrorism aimed at the U.S.
