Will Bernard Hopkins finally get executed?

I know Hopkins is known for his in ring brilliance and defensive counter punching. But does he really have a shot against the best LHW in the world? He's 41 years old. I think Hopkins advantage at middleweight was his reach which was 75. At this fight both him and Tarver will have identical reach. I don't see Hopkins winning. But I do see him doing some fouls in the middle or late rounds after he relizes that this is the last fight of his carrier. No disrespect to Bernard Hopkins but I'm going to make some $ on this fight cuz u got no chance B-HOP!

41. If I put a grand on Tarver I'll make like 400$ but its abit too risky. Bernard could get a gift decision by being a defensive counter-puncher and running away all the time like he always does either that or he could headbut Tarver and open up a cut because he's a really dirty fighter. And he's a freak like Foreman meaning age doesn't seem to be slowing him down.

Tarver isn't a spectacular fighter, but he's good at making seemingly better fighters look ordinary. I don't think Hopkins has a very realistic chance of beating Tarver, especially if he tries to press the action. Tarver wants that fight.

It sounds like Tarver is in a greater battle with the scale, than Hopkins.

With that said, Bernard's punch output has dropped quite a bit over the last few years and even though Jermaine Taylor may be a bit more talented than Tarver, I think his victories over Bernard had a lot to do with forcing an older Bernard to fight a good fighter who's natural to the middleweight division. In this case, Tarver is not only far out of Bernard's weight class, but how will Hopkins' low punch output and mobility fare, with all the extra added weight?

I reluctantly like Tarver in this one by decision. I think Bernard spends the entire fight looking to pull the trigger, but his advances are halted whenever he tastes real lightheavyweight power.

Tarver couldn't KO Hopkins if Hopkins was 70. That's bullshit. I do think he'll win though ... Hopkins sees the openings but just can't execute anymore. He can't pull the trigger and will lose a unanimous decision cause Tarver won't press anymore than he has to to win.

Does anyone have any info on how long Antonio Tarver has been training for his upcoming fight? I couldn't find any of that info on his website.

He said he's been training since August but realistically he couldn't have been preparing for Bernard for that long because he's been shooting his movie with Silvester Stallone in Rocky 6.

If you think Hopkins has "no chance," why would the bet be risky?
