White boxers

I have a theory about why white fighters seem to get so much support in America.. and it's different than you might
expect. I was recently playing Tiger Woods golf and thought to myself about how fast Tiger became the biggest star
golf has ever seen. Yes he was talented, but he transended golf.. people that didn't watch golf, tuned in to watch him..
I think the reason for that was because he was different. He was rare. I think white boxers that crack the top ten pfp are kind of
the same. People don't see them much there. I don't believe that they receive support out of some racial pride or anything like that.
I'm white, and I really don't associate any type of pride with it..it's just what I am. I think the reason
white fighters and Tiger woods, and hillary and obama receive so much support is they are all rare and people
want to see proof that anything can be done by anyone.

That's my theory anyways. I felt I would post it because of some of the hate I seen pavlik fans get in the past. I think it's misdirected.

i do not agree with you...i think the main reason fighters become popular are for their own personal charisma and how exciting they are in the ring

i think the likes of sugar ray robinson, muhammad ali and marciano are prime examples of this.

And i think it's the same in everything else...a persons charisma and own exceptional qualities which makes them stand out.

It's delusional to think that there's no sense of racial/nationalistic pride in Sports. Always has been, always will be.

agreed, plus i don't see that much wrong with it to tell you the truth. you are usually going to support the fighter you have something in common with and sometimes it's just your race.
