Valuev vs Haye

Does Valuev has any path to victory? I just don't see it. Why isn't Haye a bigger favorite?

Yeah, if he gets out of the first 2 or 3 rds.

If he gets out of rd 5, Valuev's chances of victory go up astronomically.

I still think Haye blows him out in 2 rds though.

When Haye hurts Valuev early which is definitely the plan, I hope the moment doesn't slip away from him...He must finish him early.

I think Valuev might beat Haye.

Valuev is better than people think he is and Haye is not.

While Valuevs record isn't studded with stars, hes fought some OK fighters and I can't even think of a fight where he was really hurt. I'm not sure what Haye can do here.

I don't think he can stop Valuev.

IMO, this was not a good fight for Haye to take. Valuev seems beatable, but not in his backyard IMO and like I said, I don't think Haye stops him.

I don't think this is a gimme fight for Haye. I expect a much better Valuev to come to the ring than the one that fought Holyfield.

Yeah i'm not 100% convinced of a Haye victory either
I think he can probably ko him but i wouldn't be so surprised to see Valuev get the victory either

BTW, Hayes best win is a guy Valuev knocked out a few years ago.

I dn't see any reason for haye to be favored in this.

I hope he wins, but it'll be an upset IMO if he does.

Yeah i don't know
Valuev didn't really look good in his past few fights
I mean, h'se never looked great, but I've seen him fight better in the past
I really thought he was going to destroy bergeron in his comeback fight and he actually looked like shit against him, except in the last 2 rounds maybe
And old man holeyfield arguably beat him
I don't think it's that crazy to have Haye as a slight favorite
But I agree that Valuev could very well win this fight

I agree with you entirely. Valuev looks deceptively slow in relation to his opponents but he is relatively quick, has a great jab, and he's definitely not getting hurt by haye. If Haye brings the fight to him then he will get ko'd. If he gets hurt and plays a more cautious, reserved game for the duration of the bout from that point on then we're going to see a Valuev win on points and Haye is going to be like

I want a Haye win for the future of the division, but I think Valuev wins on points.
