Manny doesn't have the pure speed Zab does but he uses his speed much more effectively.

IT'S TRUE!! lol
Cotto likes to lean over his left foot and leaves himself open to uppercuts. Manny likes to leave his hands at his chest and is also exposed to uppercuts.
An uppercut is ending this fight. You heard it here first.

No doubt Cotto is open for it, but what is Manny's best punch?
I can see Manny getting countered with a jab or left hook if he tries to jump in with an uppercut. I just can't see Manny rolling back and countering with that punch or letting him run into it; it just doesn't seem like it fits his style. That straight left from Manny is going to be a problem for Miguel. Who knows though he seems to put a new tool in his belt every fight.
I have not thought much about Miguel using that punch, it might be a good one for him.

Here is a new article about Cotto's team and Santiago in particular. He talks a good game but he is still a question mark, one fight don't make a hall of famer. Team Cotto – Composing Their Symphony of Destruction - Boxing News

If cotto can land his jackhammer jab, Pac's in trouble.

Good point. Cotto's jab lands hard. I think the pacing of this fight is really what will determine who has the most success. If Cotto is able to fight off the back foot more, land his jab, counter punch with 2 and 3 punch combinations, I think he will be fine. It will be tough for him to maintain the distance to kep that pace though.

I think Cotto wins the fight. The way I see it going is I see it taking Cotto about 2-3 rounds to adjust to Manny's straight left. After he adjust to it, Manny is going to get raped. Manny's body is going to get battered, and Manny is going to get worn down. I see Cotto KOing him by round 9.

I'm hoping you're right, and I was leaning this way for a while. I think we will be disappointed though.

Whoa whoa whoa, Pac is going to win there is no doubt. Cotto is skilled, tough, and mean which I considor very important. However he does not have enough to hang with PAC, and CANNOT finish him. If he wins it will have to be decision, like stated earlier PAC cut him, plays surgeon makes the cut a fissure and the fight is over.
