Oscar is still a very talented fighter and has picked up alot of saavy along the way in his career. He is fortunate that he isn't in a position where he has to sell out, by that I mean go balls to the wall merely to ensure he gets fair decisions and all like many fighters had to at similar stages in their careers. I can think of about 3 guys who actually could easily have been given decisions against Oscar and it would have been as fair as finding Oscar the winner.

They were at the tail ends of their careers, moving up in weight, simply not as marketable or a combination of the three.

Sucked to be them.

He's still a major player and one any contender or champ at welter, jr middle or middleweight would love to dance with.

Will he still be able to orchestrate the perfect ending he wants, with Mayweathers' titles?

Don't get me wrong, I am in no way saying Forbes is bad. I was just expecting him to be finnished but he gave a really good account of himself. I just thought the size differnece would be too big a factor against him, especially when you see them next to each other. But his defence is really good, shame he lacked power.

Hey. At his age and with all his accomplishments, I am slightly impressed with him going 12 busy rounds. Forbes is definitely not a big puncher and I am sure a more dangerous opponent would have change his attitude, but he did perform consistently for 12 rounds. Got to give him some credit. Will he do better against mayweather next time, if he can keep this calm and utilize his jab, I believe so.

As for Forbes, he is just a small guppy in a big bond. However, he has a man-size chin and you got to respect that. He needs to move back down to 135 where he can be a force.
