As some of you guys know, I am an artist. Lately, I have been doing portraits of fighters. Another poster here commisioned me to do a portrait of Mike McCallum. I did it and actually got to give it to the man himself in person. He was more than pleased with my work. Word spread and now I will be starting one of/for Duncan Dokiwari (as soon as we can get ahold of each other). So in my downtime I've started doing some 8x10's of different fighters to get my portfolio going.

So Here is what I have so far. (I will be adding all new photos to this post to keep them in the same spot)

All of these 8x10s are sketches basically and were done with graphite pencil on 80lb sketch paper.

I will update this thread every week or so with the new work I have been doing. I also have a Myspace where I can post and promote my artwork for free right now.

We don't need to be discreet.

I paid for the piece for Mike, it was my way of giving him his recognition for his work with myself and Diego. Mike's an awesome trainer, and it still stings him how unsung he goes in the Boxing World. So this sort of thing made his year.

BTW, as things progress with getting Mr. Thudd more work, this thread will turn into the Official SBC Boxing Art Museum.

Just shoot me a pm with the size you want, type of medium, and a picture if possible (The bigger, the better).

Im still in the process of setting a "set" price on work. We should be able to work something out.

I charge for materials and whatever is fair to the cutomer and myself based on the time taken and all that other stuff.

do you do action pieces? how about one with with tom cribb and tom molineux without the ridiculous racist overtones shown by contemporary artists, ie molineux as half man half ape?

As soon as you mentioned Mike McCallum I knew you were talking about KK. I don't blame him for hiring your services either, you have some talent there, ST.

I am always envious of artists with skills like yours because my best drawing efforts resemble those of a 5 year old who only has 3 fingers.

Thanks for all the positive feed back guys. Yes, I can do action photos also. I have just been doing the stand-alone type sketches to get my portfolio beefed up.

Currently working on Jake Lamotta and Floyd Mayeather. Hoping to have those done by the end of the weekend.
