How do you know D. King?

He started training there about the time I quit boxing. I haven't talk to anyone at the boxing club since I joined the Army. So I don't know if he is still training there.

Yes.. We're hopeful because they did a good job in Chicago, Cammarelle & Russo were gold, Valentino lost to the good English Gavin ( but he got his hand hurt in the previous fight ) and so was silver and Picardi was bronze.
I'm a little bit worried for my boys because there will be Cuba in the Olympics, so it will be an harder work to get some medals..

I didnt see any threads about this, so i figure this is as good of a spot as any...

I was at the Golden Gloves National Championships last night in Grand Rapids. It was the first live event ive been too and it was a pretty good time with id say 9 pretty good fights out of the 11.

I actually dont know a whole lot about the amateur game and scoring as far as Golden Gloves but a number of the fighters looked pretty good. I thought the fight of the night was Steven Washington vs Sammy Vasquez, and Washington looked pretty good, the best fighter p4p imo.

Cheers Brez & Oscar. Yeh Cuba will for sure be collecting a few medals, looking forward to seeing what they deliver.

Frankie Gavin is Britains best hope definitely after his gold in the World Championships. He's stated he's going Pro after the Olympics & apparently Frank Warren & Golden Boy are gonna fight it out to be his Promoter.
