*Rocky Juarez originally stepped on the scale at 130 1/2 lbs. He was reminded of his two hour limit to reach the contracted weight. He stepped on the scale without his shorts on and weighed in at 130 lbs. exactly. Juarez's camp claimed that the scale was rocking when he stepped on, which may have given the false reading.
**Prior to the weigh-ins, there was a private weigh-in which was held at the Hilton Americas Hotel right in front of the Toyota Center. Word came down that Barrios weighed in at 133 lbs. He stepped on the scale at the public weigh-ins at 130 lbs. exactly. There was some controversy as Juarez's camp appeared to have contested the weight. Joe Spudic and Dickie Cole of The Texas Deptartment of Licensing and Regulation certified the weights. The scale was calibrated and certified before the weigh-ins.
I spoke with Shelley Finkel after the weigh-in and he confirmed the Barrios story to me. He agreed to abide by the TDLR's weigh-ins.
