"Max Schmeling" movie... directed by Uwe Boll

Max Schmeling (2010)

This is just odd.
Cool, but odd.
Uwe Boll is known for turning video games into 'meh' movies.

I was doing some reading on Zeljko Mavrovic only to see that there was a link to IMDB for him. I clicked on the link to see that he's going to be in this movie.
Along with Arthur Abraham, Henry Maske (who will play Schmeling), cruiser weight Yoan Pablo Hernandez to play Joe Louis.

Meh? Boll is one of if not the most mocked directors in the film community for a reason. His films are, frankly, shocking. BloodRayne for example was a disaster. Alone in the Dark was probably even worse. I didn't bother watching anything else from him after that..

I could go on about all the activism directed towards this guy, speaking as someone who used to be a regular in the Rotten Tomatoes forums, but the wiki page will do for now - Uwe Boll - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So you could probably guess that I'm pretty angry about Uwe Boll making a movie about Max. I'm dreading this.

"Meh" qualifies for understatement of the year.

My understanding is that the only reason he's into movies is because he's gaming some government policy that provides compensation for certain movie projects. Or something like that. Regardless, no one should be happy that this movie is happening with this director. Nothing good can come of this.

Uwe Bowe? Yes, he's German and yes, he knows how to box.... But damn, he's a hack. He make the most corny movies every and for some reason, he has some naive belief he is talented. Awful.
