Matt Godfrey vs Felix Cora plus Jason Estrada on ESPN2 FNF

Matt Godfrey V Felix Cora Jr.
Israel Cardona V Juan Manuel Buendia
Jason Estrada V Alvin Manley
Chris Traietti V Jeffrey Osborne Jr
Angel Camacho V Lewis Robinson
Manuel Lopes V Brandon Burke

Undefeated Cruiserweight prospect Matt Godfrey, faces once beaten Felix Cora in this battle of former amateur stars. Godfrey lit up espn last year with his crushing first round knock out of Shaun George, and Cora was last seen on espn getting knocked out, but he was winning that fight up untill then. While Godfrey isn't known for his power, he has a great jab and excellent footwork, a win here gets him near the top 10 and close to a title shot. Also there is former olympian and fatty Jason Estrada his camp claims that he has lost weight and this will be a whole new Jason, we'll have to see what he weighs in at, but if he can get to 235, he'll be tough to beat.

Matt Godfrey 199.75 vs Felix Cora, Jr. 196
Israel Cardona 143.25 vs Juan Manuel Buendia 146.25
Jason Estrada 239 vs Zach Page 205
Chris Traietti 173.25 vs Randall Pogue 174.75
Manuel Antonio Lopes 169.75 vs Brandon Burke 177.25
Angel Camacho, Jr. 166.25 vs Lewis Robinson 167.75
Addy Irizarry 136.5 vs Sierra Moody 130.5

Look at that, 239 for Estrada, the man is rededicated, and he faces tough jouryman Zach Page, Page is a tough guy to knock out and actually tries to win his fights. For the main event Estrada has a few pounds on Cora and should controll the fight, Cora hasn't been active in 10 months and that fight was his first lost. Fights start at 9 espn2.

Kessler seems like a very likeable guy. I like the fact that he seems very humble despite his talent, and he was honest about worrying about going for the body late against Andrade and getting caught and thinking about his gas tank late in a fight. He also was respectful to RJJ, despite the fact that he'd probably own him. I like him even more after seeing him in studio.
Felix Cora needs to retire, I noticed that he does not react well to being hit, even in the fight he lost to Tokarev, he looked like he has Terry Norris/Fernando Vargas/Roy Jones Jr. syndrome every time he gets hit clean and not even that hard. Guys like Corrales, Trinidad etc go down, but their whole bodies don't short circut totally like what happens to the guys above.

I was at the show live. Pretty shocking the way Cora went out. Also, a lot of locals lost wide on the cards, including Cardona. Judging was pretty honest all night through.

The Kessler and RJJ conversation was comedic gold on the unintentional humor scale. 10 out of 10.
