YES YES, that is OLN the Outdoor Life Network aka the tour de france channal is starting a thursday night boxing show, and it kicks off with a bang. Kelly is a hard hitting undefeated middle and he is white, yes that means built in fanbase. Thompson was an uber prospect but has a weak chin, hopefully he can it all together.

the pressure of said seemed to be getting to thompson in rounds 4 & 5, thompson wins the 6th...7th round is the best round of the fight so far, thompson lands some great shots but said storms back to close it out

Said just retired in round 9 after taking a series of combinations. Thompson looked okay from about round 7 on. The only big issue is that he's still really slapping with his punches far too much, and his activity level in the first half was too low (though I had this fight virtually a shutout).

This was a much better performance overall than the Darnell Boone fight, where he was totally listless.

thompson drops said in the 9th with a couple of nice right hands after winning round 8, ref stops it at 2:02 when said beats the count but doesn't respond to when asked to walk forward...the body work done in the last three rounds really paid off as said looked exhausted when finished.

I don't know. I know one thing, and that if he's Superman, Pavlik is Doomsday. I'll miss Bronco McKart.

This is a good little scrap. Of course, if I'm gonna choose someone to win a fire fight, I'm picking Pavlik, just because he's a very bad man.

Wow...Pavlik puts a glove on the canvas in round 4 after a body shot. This is a bang out fight like the Cintron/Estrada fight from earlier this year.
