2007 Sherdog Boxing Awards
Let's here your picks for Fighter of the Year, Fight of the Year, Round of the Year, Knock Out of the Year, Prospect of the Year, The Evander Holyfied Memorial Washed Up Fighter of the Year, and any other new categories you wish to add. Plus let's here what fights need to be made in 08 as I'm dying to see Andre Ward vs Allen Green and Nipples Arreola vs Chazz Witherspoon and of course Pacquio vs Varelo not to mention Ruiz vs Akinwande (just checking if your still with me) 2007 has been a roller coaster of a year with the pull outs and the sad passing of Corrallas, but it has also brought some great fights and new prospects to get excited about, lets hope 08 is even better.

Fighter of the year: probably Miguel Cotto
Fight of the year: Vazquez - Marquez II ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZihnpaSJHKU)
Knockout of the year: Donaire-Darchinyan
Prospect: I like very much Yuriorkis Gamboa
I'd add worst decision of the year:
Valuev - Bergeron
Casamayor - Santa Cruz
In 2008:
Calzaghe - Hopkins
Kessler - Miranda
Pacquiao - Marquez
Cotto - the winner of Mayweather-Hatton or the winner of Cintron-Williams
loser of Mayweather-Hatton - Margarito
Pavlik - Abraham or Duddy
Montiel - Mijares
Ponce de Leon - winner of Izz-Rafa III

Ehh, I dunno if wins over De La Hoya and Hatton trump Cotto's run in 07. 3 wins over Urkal, Judah, and Mosley.
If he had snuck one more fight in there maybe.

1.Have to say Cotto, as much as I wanted him to lose he beat two of my favorite fighters in exciting fights (even though he spent the last half o the Mosley fight running ) that made a lot of money.
2.I'm going to say Vasquez/Marquez 1.
3. 1st round (or second may be mixed up) of Codrington/Bika, flame away.
4.I will also say Cintron/Mathysse.
5.hmmm... Have to think about that. Chavez, Jr? A bit untested but still looks ok.
6.Vargas.
