I hope Pavlik knocks him out again, he is an awesome fighter and I want to see him face other big names.

Agree. It's truly a silly statement.

IMHO its truly close rounds belong to the champ. Or in the case of ring generalship vs aggression, or power punches vs outlanding, it goes the way of the champion. Thats just my take on it, in pickem situations you go champion.
My point though is that Taylor certainly didnt dominate Hopkins to become the champion, but acted like he deserved the special treatment he got.

Well a champ retains in a draw, so technically you do have to "take it" from a champ.

People should be rooting for Taylor. If the second is anything like the first, why not see a third.
I should cheer for Taylor so I can possibly see a 3rd fight? That is incredibly silly imo.

JT isn't a bad guy, I've done some business with his camp actually. Having said that, any resonable boxing fan is pulling for Pav here.

The "heart" to take the fight? You mean a clause in the contract that allows him an instant rematch at a higher weight that is more to his benefit. You have the MW champion of the world fighting the Ex-MW champion of the world for no belt a few months after the first fight. Yea, you nailed it...

Is it in the contract that the rematch had to be their next fight? Either way IT IS in the contract that should he lose they will fight again. Most fighters would want a tune-up fight first, which I'm personally sick of seeing. Anyone at this level should not be talking about tune-up fights. I respect him for wanting to get right back at it, and not hand selecting some lower tier fighter just to boost himself back up. He lost, and he wants the big fish right away. I mean this is a decent risk he's taking, his future can take a drastic swing depending on the outcome of this fight. To me that says he's hungry and wants to give the fans what they want to see. Maybe in the past it was different, but that's history now. Did you watch the preview on HBO?

its a 10 point must system, except in championship fights, then its a ten point but the champ gets an extra .25 each round system, so you have to beat the champ...

i've never understood that logic either.

do you have to beat the giants by 3 1/2 next year? you only ever hear this argument in boxing, and it baffles me. besides, in this day and age of 73 weight divisions and unlimited sanctioning bodies, isnt every fight for a belt?

by the way, i'm starting my own boxing organization. coming soon to RJJ's handlers, the WTFB champeeeeenship of the world. it will just be a belt roy can wear, at whatever weight he wants. you want rj's belt, you gotta come to him at 173 1/4 pounds...
