I've got Pavlik to win this again but at 166lps Taylor's recovery ability may have improved but I don't it'll be enough if the 1st fight is anything to go by.

He seems like a respectable guy to me. Doesn't make a mockery of his opponents, shows class, and has the heart to fight Pavlik again instead of taking a "tune-up" fight. IMO there should be no such things as "tune-up" fights. Hate if you want, but Taylor seems like a good guy and he's a good fighter.

Woot. Thats about the size of it.
Kelly Pavlik all day long. Kelly is the truth, and brings me hope for a dominant MW king.
Hes bigger than Taylor, the catchweight will truly be his advantage. His trainer mentioned that Kelly is a changed man since winning the title, says his punches are crisper, he has more strength and power, and is working harder than ever.
Come the 16th I think we've seen the end of Jermaine Taylor.

Why on earth would anyone hope that? Both good fighters, both good guys, but JT doesn't put on entertaining fights, Pavlik does. I'm rooting for the guy who will continue to feed me action fights as champ for the next 5-10 years, and that's Kelly Pavlik.

I'm with you on this one.
I see Taylor taking this.

I think maybe they talked about it to imply that Taylor might have a mental edge over Pavlik having beaten him in the amateurs or maybe it was just worth bringing it up to give the fight a bit more intrigue. They also could have been remembering back to the Mosley/Forrest fight, who knows?

I believe many boxing fans don't like him for some of the wins he's recieved that they felt he didn't deserve like his fight with Cory Spinks, or his draw with Wright. You could even make an argument about his 2 wins over Hopkins. I personally thought he deserved the decisions over Hopkins, but they were very close fights & I can understand if some think they could've gone the other way. To add to that, a lot of fans & critics believe that you should beat a champion more decisively, especially one as dominant as Hopkins was, to take the title.
