And best of all, he lost a little weight. That's right, he is finally under 230 again. Sadly not even fox sports best damn fight night will cover it. Batchelder is pretty durable and will get tagged all night long. BTW, anyone ever hear of Ricardo Cortes? He is 19-1 and ranked in the boxrec top 30, wonder if he is a prospect at all. This card takes place in San Jose, so we won't get the results till 2 am Thursday night.

I'm not going along with the move back to cruiser. It's an empty division and he won't be earning a fraction of what he does at heavy.

If this guy could've gotten under 215, it's possible he could've won his last three fights. I think his battle is with the scales, not vastly superior opponents.

I agree, but I don't think he can win the battle of the scales anymore. He's a guy who has some great gifts (timing, chin, etc.) but who also falls short of even the average guy posting on Sherdog when it comes to some other things, like eating discipline and roadwork. He can probably spar 15 rounds easier than he can run 2 miles and I'm not sure there is another guy on the planet you could say that about.

I think he's a HW for good. If Jirov wants him, he better start eating himself.
