How about Williams vs Cintron

There are bigger fights to be made, but since the bigger names are overlooking these guys, why not have a WBO/IBF unification?

I would take the Punisher by 12 round split decision.

This would be an interesting fight for sure. Here's all the reasons why:

- Kermit has matured a little bit. So he's not as liable to fold under pressure, he can thank David Estrada for that.

- Williams slaps you about a gazillion times, but he won't sit down on his punches.

- Williams doesn't seem to mind being there to get hit, which against Kermit is a big problem unless you know you can mow him down, which will be harder now than it was pre-Margarito.

- One of them will surely fatigue, Williams from volume and Cintron from throwing power shots, if they both find they can hand with each other, that'll make it interesting late to see whose legs fail them first.

Other than Ibragimov/Chagaev, I've never really seen a newly crowned champion push for unification. Not that I wouldn't love to see it, but most go for the big money fights.

That's true. Williams was obsessed with Margarito the past two years, which is something most fighters wouldn't do either. Maybe he'll break the mold.

Who do you guys think Williams will most likely fight next?

I'd favour Cintron to land something significant, early to mid rounds.. if he doesn't, Williams would probably win a UD.

This would be a great fight.

But Emmanuel steward is already saying he wants Margarito vs Cintron so Cintron can erase that lose off Cintrons record. Cintron will be fighting on the under card of mayorga vs vargas.

No way Cintron fights Margarito next. Even if its a standing loss on his record, he's on a roll right now and needs to keep it going by facing other guys who will guarantee either a bigger payday or easier fight. It makes no sense from a business standpoint, boxing is first and foremost a business, to have him fight Margarito.

True Pat, but avenging losses is a great thing, and if anyone was going to get to Tony, now is the time to do it.
