What happened to Duncan Dokiwari?

He was a fun guy to watch.
But his last fight was in 2006.

Any word on what happened to him?

Mike used to train Duncan, lately he's been training with Eddie Mustafa.

Duncan's one of those guys that did wonderfully in the Amateurs, but didn't do as well as expected in the Pros. If you look up Heavyweight Boxer appearance in the dictionary, though, not many fit the bill like he does. He's got the right look, and he CAN fight.

Question has always been whether or not he REALLY wants to.

lol Maybe this'll do it for you Abs. Jantuah's take on Duncan (and mind you they're friends):

"Duncan is a poosie."

no, i refer to a select few boxers as 'bums' and he's not one of them.

however, i remeber watching that fight and being very impressed with guinn, who has never looked nearly as impressive again. in fact, he generally looks pretty bad.

so, when i think of duncan, i think of the guy that managed to make guinn look impressive, at least on one night.

But at that time Guinn actually had about 3 fights in a row in which he looked impressive.
Guinn rocked Duncan during their fight, but if remember correctly Duncan was still pretty active even into the late rounds.

**
Also, it was around that time that alot of people on here (myself included) were talking Guinn up to be something impressive.

Dokiwari suffered a pretty nasty cut from an accidental headbutt against Giunn, that cut bothered so much he was wiping it off with his the gloves almost the entire fight, not taking anyway from Guinn but the fight might have favored Duncan if not for the cut, I remember it was competitive.

Didn't some guy off the streets KO him in the first round? Actually I remember seeing him before the Guinn fight and thinking that he looked like a beast. Fought a pretty good fight in losing but yeah, went the same route as Courage Tshabalala and never lived up to the hype.

To Courage's credit, though, the first fight he lost was one of the more atrocious ref jobs I've ever seen.

Also the guy who knocked Duncan out, Stacy "Bigfoot" Frazier is one of those guys who can KO you if he can hit you. He's knocked out more than one prospect in the early going.
