JHR/52 Blocks has its variations. Hops part of town called it "the bum rush". Around my way if you didn't have a "fair one" we would call for a "pug". Anyone who could pug had a vast arsenal from hands to feet. We used elements from former gang members, sericemembers and martial artists. Some guys even incorporated acrobatic type moves.
On another note, my buddy likes to tell stories of pitfighting matches while he was in prison. Here is a guy who studied MA but gained a better understanding of knees and throwin' 'bows.
Now I didn't know anything about this system until I did my research. JHR has alot to do with fighting in style. I know because I was broken out of the flashiness when I was training to be a H2H instructor. Dance moves did not fly in the Marines.
Note: Almost everyday I see Meldrick Taylor hack-cabbing at the local supermarket. Damn you Richard Steele!!
