Icon7 Ghetto Boxing/52 Blocks/52 Blocks

Has any one heard of this system on fighting called 52 Blocks. It is said that it began after the Civil War in the prisons. Regard less if you believe it or not, that's up to you. I recently view the dvd's and I thought there was a lot of useful info and a realistic approach to street fighting. The system is bassed on boxing techniques of the hands and knees. Has anyone ever trained in it or have any useful info on it. I will be happy to shear the techniques i learned. It may not be anything new but I liked it. Please let me know what you think? and i will love to discuss this with you all.

See Zab Judah vs. Floyd Mayweather. Zab used it and quite effectively against the P4P best.

I don't know much about 52 blocks but I know that Bruce Lee incorporated techniques of it into Jeet Kune Do. Maybe that will help you find more stuff about it?...

Is that really what he was doing? I remember he was gettting hit a lot, started making some odd hand movements, and Floyd actually backed off for a minute.

yeah, its a prison fighting system geared toward confusing your opponent. Somewhat like drawing thier attention away from the hand your going to throw with.

I have heard of the 52 handblocks aka jailhouse rock before. I can't confirm this but supposedly Mike Tyson knows 52 handblocks. When Zab was doing those different hand moves fakes that is supposedly some 52 however he got nothing accomplished by those moves as he was to scared to open up at that point in the fight.

I remember Wu-Tang mentioning 52 handblocks in their lyrics many times

"Beat *****z toothless, physically cut up like gooses
But with iron* on the sides thugs took no excuses
Therefore, your fifty-two handblocks was useless..."

GZA on cold world

and i know Ghostface has mentions 52 in the track "who's the champion"
