Bo Jackson is a super athlete. Boxing rarely gets those type of athletes let alone thinking MMA will get those athletes considering it's lower, lower tier when it comes to financial compensation. It won't happen. Not for a long time.
And Fedor has more than just mastery of the gnp, submission game and generally decent in the other aspects of MMA, he has many intangibles you can't learn.

Fedor is great, but there are things he lacks genetically that others like Brock Lesnar are lightyears ahead of him in. Fedor uses damn near 100% of his potential, something most athletes are unable to do. Once someone more naturally gifted than him uses their potential, there will be a better fighter.

Fedor has much better athletic attributes for MMA than would most football players. Fedor may not look like an athlete but the guy has explosive hips, solid reflexes.
Some meathead football player with bad cardio isnt going to light the world on fire.
And MMA is not evolving the way it should. The best guys now are the exception not the norm and it will always be like that.

Bo Jackson has as much mental capacity as Fedor when it comes to athletics.

Lesnar didnt make the team because his football background consists of HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL if im not mistaken.
In football you have guys walking on to college teams and playing pro based on their athletic gifts. Frankly there are not alot of skill positions in football. Thats the bottom line. A huge % of football is athleticism based.
Fast twitch fibers are great, but its not going to do you any good if you're gassed out after the 1st round.

Which is why I didn't pick the standard meathead football player. Bo Jackson could outrun 180lb defensive backs, knock 300lb defensive tackles on their ass, hit a small ball, moving 95mph, 500 feet, compete in triathlons, and was as flexible as elite gymnasts. Bo Jackson could do it all, and if he trained in martial arts from a young age there is litte doubt in my mind he would be great.

It was only a matter of time before he caught on to Rogers' timing hence the clobbering right that sent him somewhat stiff to the canvas. Most of Fedor's boxing is merely setting up a takedown for a submission anyway. Fedor can easily adjust to his opponent's style and effectively counter under duress.

brock lesnar almost made the nfl without playing at the collegiant level.
mma is the most mentally toughest sport out there.
you know why? because you have to make all your adjusts on the fly, when someone is still trying to knock your head off
baseball and american football, there are so many stops, you can think to change your game. mma their aren't stops like that.

Exactly. He & some people say he wasn't being aggressive last night and that it was his own fault. Well, I've seen his fights before and he does a lot of feints. We saw the same Bret last night and that shit didn't fly against the GOAT ...Fedor was too light on his feet and was ducking Bret's punches onward to clinch. That's just skill by Fedor so no, Rogers didn't have an off-night.

Lol, for real. I just checked it and he did injure his hand again. I'm telling ya, his technique is all wrong but he does pack a powerful punch but once more, his punching technique leads to broken hands. The bones in your hands are really small and break really easy and the way he punches leads to broken hands and as I said, he now has either a broken hand or torn ligaments in his hand.
