Kessler v. Beyer

This fight is set for October 14th in Copenhagen, Denmark.

I'm pretty excited for this fight. I wonder if the winner will get a shot at Calzaghe.

Good news. Hopefully it will give Kessler more exposure and knock Beyer out of the picture (you can tell who I'm rooting for).

As for Calzaghe, I think he's at a point in his career where he's looking for a big payday against a famous fighter, not a life-and-death struggle with a hungry, less established fighter like Kessler. I'd like to see Kessler take on Mundine if Calzaghe isn't available. The winner of the Tarver-Lacy fight would be an interesting matchup, too.

Joe seems perfectly ok with only fighting 2-3 more fights before he retires, so whoever it is, it better be good. I STILL think Kessler is the man, and im excited this fight is happening.

Calzaghe might be forced to fight these guys though. His hands are getting even weaker with age and the big names are becoming less interested due to his unreliability imo.

are we talking about markus beyer, the german markus beyer ? i can't believe this guy is actually fighting outside of germany.
anyway, kessler will take him out.
