Donnell Holmes - The Real Touch of Sleep
35 years old - nice record with alot of KOs (28-0 & 24KOs) over no names.
Came across his name because he beat Stacy Frazier, who ko'd Dokiwari in the 1st a few years back.
That's just a goofy nickname "The Real Touch of Sleep".
It's like a diss to DaVarryl Williamson ("Touch of Sleep"), but such a random one at that.
Not like "The Real Lights Out".... this guy is setting his target not low, but certainly not too high.

I've seen Champman fight before.
Never seen Holmes fight, but a SD against Zumbrum is kind of revealing. __________________

The funniest thing about Donnell Holmes may be the war going on between him and 39 year-old DaVarryl “Touch of Sleep” Williamson (24-5-0), who were engaged in serious smack-talking over who had the right to be dubbed the toughest fighter with the phrase “Touch of Sleep” in his name. Holmes actually issued a press release in March 2007telling DaVarryl that “I touch people and they go to sleep unlike when you get touched and ‘You go to sleep.’” Ouch. Williamson responded to Holmes that he was “ready, willing and able to take that fight, and once and for all decide who should carry the moniker ‘Touch of Sleep.’”
As of today, these guys still haven't fought each other. Touch of sleep, all right...

Great info, Jake!!
I was thinking there had to be something behind it. Just seemed to random to take a somewhat unique nickname and then put "The Real" before it. Because it's not like Williamson is some all-time great heavy that others are trying to 1up by virtue of copping his nickname.
