A Controversial Decision That Helps the Sport of Boxing

Well, you may hear certain people complain that they don't like boxing because sometimes the judges give the win to the wrong fighter.
Well, obviously boxing is not the only sport where the judges rob a fighter of a victory.
I think this does justice for boxing. Another arguement taken away from the haters!

This is just stupid. As if this is even the worst or among the worst decisions in MMA history. The whole boxing versus MMA debate is colored by the notion that UFC=the entirety of MMA and by the delusion that all the best MMA guys operate in a single tent, constantly fighting one another.

Sigh.

Do people not realize that it's the ATHLETIC COMMISSIONS that are responsible for which judges are chosen to judge an event? This goes for both boxing and MMA! If one sport has bad decisions, then the other one is bound to have bad decisions as well. Why people try to turn it into a boxing vs. MMA argument is beyond me. It shows true ignorance.

Where ever there is gambling there is corruption. I recognize many shady individuals in mma, and i know boxing has always had them. I am surprised that bad decisions don't happen more often than they do honestly. As for this helping boxing? I don't think it really does anything one way or the other. To different sports. I think Ray Mercer might have got a few mma fans watching though. And I agree with previous posters saying the average MMA fan thinks UFC is mma, which is kinda sad as many of the best aren't in UFC. I miss PRIDE and AFFLICTION more and more. Hopefully Strikeforce will fill the role of competition. and keep wamma alive.

As far as I've seen, and perhaps with a few exceptions, anyone who says "I don't watch X because of the bad decisions" is simply scraping for a reason other than saying "I think it's boring".

I've always found the honesty of just saying "MMA is boring to me" or "boxing is boring to me" or "kickboxing is boring to me" far more respectable than taking up the old "I USED TO BE A HUGE FAN IN 1997 BUT I HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH THE CORRUPTION AND SWORE TO MYSELF, 'NEVER AGAIN, NEVER AGAIN'!"
Lol, please... people don't watch fighting for decisions anyway.
