oh god !! i feared this....as a matter of fact i said on some other thread regarding barrera fighting anyone just to avoid fighting pac, that i hoped barrios wasnt next in line.

barrera didnt look good against juarez, and ended up winning a insanely close fight, when i thought hed beat rocky clearly.
but barrios ?? are you kidding me ??
barrios is painfuly average... barrera is better than him in every sense and still is levels above him.
barrios is tough, has heart and an iron chin... but he shouldnt be able to trouble barrera too much, offensively.
if he does, then abrrera should say bye right there.

If Juarez troubled Barrera, I see no reason why Barrios won't. What sucks is that they're just giving Barrera to one of their own. If he loses? Oh well, they've got a new star. If he beats Barrios? Jorge got beat by a great.

This is junk.

On one hand, it sucks because its not Manny.

On the other hand, Manny doesn't really need the rub of beating Barrera anymore. Additionally, Barrios might end up with three belts, and him and Manny or Juarez is plenty fun too.

Barrios wouldn't beat Valero.

For Valero to fight any top 130 or 135 lb fighters, one of the following will have to happen:

-Native Americans annex Las Vegas
-Mexico and Colombia's average income per household becomes the equal of the US
-He grows a new skull.

They're not very likely scenarios.
