Arthur Abraham?

What are your thoughts on him? I've been recently trying to get back into boxing, and I ended up hearing his name. Watched some of his fights including his recent ko of Jermaine Taylor.

So far, I like the guy a lot already. He's patient and has bricks in his gloves. Seems to be a charismatic guy too with his 'King Arthur' gimmick. How do you expect him to do in the Super Six overall?

I think he'll come out on top.

He's powerful, but IMHO, I think he drops his hands too much...that might bite him soon.

I touch myself to Manny Pacquiao... I should never bet against Quickdraw, ever, ever, ever.

jake...there's not in between with him.

his hands up, then he's blocking.
hands down he's punching.

his puzzle will get figured out sooner rather than later.

also TS if you want to see what Abraham is stacked up against click on the link.

Not only is he powerful but he has explosive speed. When he explodes into combination they come pretty fast, faster than you would think for the type of puncher he is. I like his chances in the tourney. Someone with a beard and power is always going to give people problems. I like Froch, but i think Abraham puts his lights out. He comes in and will smother some of Abraham's power but he leaves himself open so much i think he get hit and hit often.

Ward and Dirrell-Both boxers, both somewhat question marks. I think he catches ward, Dirrell i dont know. He showed some very good skill and some vulnerability in that last fight i guess we will see soon enough. Probably will beat him.

Kessler- I think Kessler is the best fighter in the tourney but i think he will be leary of Abraham. He avoided Miranda like the plague and might feel just as uncomfortable with Abraham. I think Kessler should win, but i wouldn't bet on it.

Ah, so I'm not alone on this? That was the first thing I noticed when I first watched his fights. I was surprised that a top guy could get away with that... guy must be pretty powerful.

I still think Pavlik would capitalize off of this.

ya know...after the first time i saw AA fight i thought WOW...this guy will give Pav problems. Then i watched him a ton more and i've come to the conclusion that AA only see round 12 because he's one of the toughest dudes in the game today. Even against JT AA's face was swollen and bruised.

Jake...i HATE saying things like this but...JT coulda won that fight. I know I know coulda woulda shoulda but in typical JT fashion he didn't produce when it mattered most.

.
That's exactly what my coach says. That he's just in amazing shape, and tough as shit.

Who do you think could beat him? Like I said, I think Pavlik's tougher than him. He took a fuckin' beating against Hopkins, but he still lasted to the end of the 12th.

Dirrell's height/stance should make for an interesting fight, but I see AA coming out on top of that by a long shot.

With 6 seconds left...man...just, man. He would have lost the fight, but still... that really sucks.

I thought he was clearly winning the fight against JT even if it went to a decision. He didn't even take much damage. Some bruises and that's about it.

I'll take Kessler over Abraham in this tourney.

As for Pavlik-Abraham, I think Pavlik would have beaten him impressively.
