Good for Chambers, but this is getting turned into something it's not.
He lost to Povetkin because he lost to Povetkin.
If we want to focus on the conditioning of Chambers then it's just as valid to focus on the physical health of Povetkin before going into that fight. There were reports he was sick. But big whoop. I just don't like the "so and so didn't win the fight, his opponent lost the fight".
He didn't beat Povetkin, he beat Dimitrenko over the weekend. To claim he can or he would have will only really be supported by him actually beating him (Povetkin).
I hope Chambers is all of that. Hope he keeps looking good in the ring. A win over Dimitrenko is certainly a step in the right direction. But it's not the only step. And it will take more than that to prove that he can beat Povetkin or Wlad. Considering he lost to one and hasn't fought the latter.
Compounded with the fact that neither of those two fight like Dimitrenko. Dimitrenko seemed mentally bankrupt going into the 6th. That's one big advantage that Povetkin has over him. I've seen Povetkin struggle to still win (Chambers & Estrada).... haven't seen that with Dimitrenko. Harder to break the will of a guy whose had his tested and rose to the challenge.
