Fighter of the Year:
1. Calzaghe
2. Pavlik
3. Mayweather
4. Cotto
I think Kessler is even underrated and because of how clearly Calzaghe beat him he got the biggest accomplishment in 2007. Pavlik was also great, knocking out Miranda and Taylor. Floyd did not look that impressive against De La Hoya, but of course beating Oscar and Hatton also makes you one of top guys. And Cotto has also improved his record very nicely, but I had his fight against Mosley scored a draw 6-6.
Fight of the Year:
Marquez-Vasquez II
That was just brilliant slugging action. Codrington-Bika was great too, but just not on such a high quality level although both of them are good fighters. Taylor-Pavlik was great, but if you look at it round for round, not the entire fight was action, only the knockdown round and the ko round were very spectacular. And Calzaghe-Kessler also deserves to be mentioned in my eyes. The atmosphere was special, the skill level was phantastic and there were some nice exchanges. But for a fight of the year there were not enough bombs and it wasnt close enough.
Prospect:
I dont know. Povetkin and Berto have looked very good lately, but are they still prospects? Theyve been making the next step. So if they are no prospects any more, Id agree with the Gamboa pick.

Plus let's here what fights need to be made in 08 as I'm dying to see Andre Ward vs Allen Green and Nipples Arreola vs Chazz Witherspoon and of course Pacquio vs Varelo not to mention Ruiz vs Akinwande (just checking if your still with me) 2007 has been a roller coaster of a year with the pull outs and the sad passing of Corrallas, but it has also brought some great fights and new prospects to get excited about, lets hope 08 is even better.
