Can you honestly say that getting 10+ million for a fight isn't enough? I mean god damn, to make 1 million for a fight if you are smart, you have set yourself up for life.

Crazy that so many boxers bitch about money, but you have guys laying it down for 8k in the UFC as professionals. Most boxers aren't as devoted to the sport as they used to be, where as MMA has a ton of crazy guys willing to do whatever it takes to make it to the top.

How many boxers do you know that would go down to Brazil and fight bare-knuckled?

I don't know how a willingness to fight bare-knuckle in Brazil shows that mma fighters are more dedicated to their sport than boxers are to theirs. I mean, boxers' only weapons are their hands, so it would be pretty fucking stupid for them to fight bare-knuckle and face a high probability of breaking their hands.

Also, I don't know how you can say that mma has tons of guys willing to make it to the top but boxing doesn't. Did you do a census or something?

Heh. I agree completely with your taste in sports. I truly believe that someday (when MMA fighters start getting into the promotion game) we'll see PPVs offered featuring a combination of MMA and boxing bouts. Really, it's the same audience watching both sports, except for a vocal minority who likes only one or the other.
