yeah; my fear of the wasp was pretty irrational, since i'm not allergic, and a moderately painful sting's the worst that could've happened. Kinda funny since i have no fear at all of spider, snakes, scorpions, etc. I'd hold a tarantula or a rattlesnake with no fear at all, but a yellowjacket makes me cringe like a bitch.
which reminds me of another camping trip, when my friend kept telling me not to swat away the yellow jackets, because they wouldn't sting for no reason. next place we stop, two yellowjackets land on his calf, and he lets them walk around . . . suddenly they both sting him two or three times each. funny shit. he started swatting them away after that, too.
