I'm a new Sherdogger, though not new to MMA...In my short tenure, I have logged on and interacted and read posts practically daily...an official SHERDOG P1, if you will.

One thing I'm struggling to catch onto is the "jargon" used regularly inside of this great community! I know I can't be the only one trying to ramp up...surely there are a few others who simply don't want to raise their hand in class for fear of looking like and idiot.

I'll save you the response...

I wanted to reach out to all you wingmen and seasoned veterans of the Sherdog world and get some of the meanings behind the language here. (Example: ttt, what is this?)

Most of the terms are actually self-explanatory if you exercise some intuitive thought.

Examine the context they're in and you'll figure it all out.

ttt means to the top, if a thread doesnt get any answers and it goes onto page 2 of a forum, sometimes someone wants to send it to the top of the first page, but dont really have anything new to add. maybe they just want others to read the post, so they post a 'ttt'.

tl/fwi --- nobody knows except the tl/fwi illuminati, some theories include, 'too late, fwapping instead', and 'transexuals love fondling with illuminati'. the only sure thing is that the main discussion point of the group is tranny porn.
