Went to my nephew's soccer game this morning. He plays under 7's.

His team played away from home so a parent from the other team reffed the match. Now i'll start by saying the players on the other team were bloody good. For little guys they certainly know to play a good game of soccer. While most of my nephew's team seem to just play cos they like to run around hahahaha.

Anyway most parents who ref are chill and civil and know it's just kids playing, not this dickhead.

We have this little African (I think he's Sudanese) kid on my nephew's team who doesn't know the definition of fear. He's little and skinny but if the ball's free he'll jump, slide and tackle for the fuckin thing. He did this once and a kid from the other kid tripped over him but it was obvious to Stevie Wonder he was going for the ball. The ref called him for a foul.

This prompted me and my brother to yell "he got all ball!!!" about 5 times. The ref brushed us off.

About 2 minutes later our goalie saved a shot, he was kneeling on the ground and one kid ran and him and literally ran him the fuck over. Like he was injured and had to be carried off the field. No call from the ref. This led me to call the ref "bloody blind".

This led a parent form the other team to turn around and go "settle down it's under 7's" in a smug tone. I paused for a second to think about it and replyed "well our boy get's called for going for the ball and your boy ran over our kid and nothin happens mate". before he could reply my brother went up to him and said he was a retard to think the ref wasn't reffing fair. to which he shut up and never looked at us again.

The other team thrashed us, which should have been fair and square since they had better players. but noone can say they won fair because of the blatant calls from the ref.

It's a fucking shame parents put their own fucking pride ahead of the kids, pisses me off. especially when they use the fact that it is a kids game to try and shut us down.

We play them in a few weeks and some of the other parents are talking about being biased against them but i'm gonna convinced my brother n his wife not to do it. I guess that's the hippy in me coming out but we should just let the kids play...because after all, it is under 7's.

I'm a qualified referee, and kids games are the worst to ref. I was up one end in a match giving a penalty, when i looked bak there were five kids on the floor in the other penalty box, parents on the fucking pitch, everyone shouting and swearing.

The foul, well i didn't see the incident, but from your description it could have been dangerous play, regardless of if he got the ball or not. And shame on you for overreacting to something like that.

Kids football is about learning manners, respect and discipline. Your attitude, and badgering of the referee, would have stopped the game and set a bad example for the kids.

Its only a game. Kids enjoy it win or lose.

Kids football is about setting a fucking example to the kids playing it. Commending them for playing well, letting them have fun and letting them play. This ref was an arrogant piece of shit for putting himself and the other parents in place of ALL of the kids by favoring.

Now i've seen my fair share of soccer games, and yes there are a few calls which are wrong but are done on accident. This ref made more than a few fucking bad calls and they all seem to be favorable to the other team. Coicincidence?

Oh, and it is only just a game...which is further reason why referees shouldn't be biased to their fucking kids and let the kids have a good fun game.

and the african kid going for the ball wasn't dangerous, he's done a few in other games which were dangerous (sweeping for the ball while the kids have it) but this one was not dangerous, he shoulda got a fuckin medal (well he did get a certificate for best player) for having balls and not a bogus foul

jesus, what is it with people overreacting to posts tonight? I was only siding wih him because i'm a ref myself. You were there, you know what happened. I didn't see any of it.
