That is why I said "based on videogames in general." There was no "Tron" videogame when the movie was made, but the movie still involves videogames and kind of takes place inside of a videogame world. The Wizard wasn't based on a game either and simply involved Nintendo games.

True, I forgot that Flynn was an arcade master. However, the movie didn't really take place in a videogame world, it took place inside a computer. But yeah, I suppose Tron was one of the first movies to feature videogames. The scene of him ruling the arcade is kind of iconic, it's how I remember arcades back in the day.

Another cool movie that captured the feelings of classic arcades was Fast Times at Ridgemont High. There was a scene in there that showed the old smokey arcades in all their glory.

The Wizard was just a commercial, what tripe.

The challenge is simple:

Name for me ANY video game to movie that was worth a crap. I mean Doom, as Ash E larry pointed out, Doom the game is cool but the film sucked.

So, I challenge anyone to come up with a video game that was turned into a movie that was decent.

If ten posters agree on a video game to film title, then the person that suggested that video game to film title will win $10 bucks. I will mail it to them, no questions asked.
