I am making a butchers block dining room table..

Using New England Hard Maple (expensive)
European Birch (expensive)
Walnut (expensive)

The problem is it has to be designer grade...no knicks, no knots..
I had to buy a belt sander...

All of the wood needed to be in 4x10 blocks..

and I needed to buy ornate iron to weld into a frame...

should be quite nice when finished, not to mention balls heavy.

Feel like making another of those tables?

How do you build up on pullups? Seems like only BW but do you do any wtd pullups?

Funny thing about WEighted pullups...

they hurt my shoulders something fierce..

Back when Devil was doing them in his logs, I added them for a while....got up to a pretty decent weight, but had a ton of anterior strain on my shoulder...

So I decided , hey I'm fat enough to consider myself as signifigant weight...

My pullup program started like this..

week 1
do 20 3 days a week

week 2
do 30 3 days a week

week 3
do 40 3 days a week

week 4
do 60 3 days a week

week 5
do 100 2 days a week

From then on
work to 100 using the first few sets as your high rep gauge.

I always warmup like this

bwx1
bwx1
bwx2
bwx3
bwx1

Dead hang
rest

work.

not 2,000 for the materials though,

I included equiptment in that cost..

i.e. new belt sander.

You'd be a monster at 220 and 6-8% bf....well even more so I think....Would definitely help on the pull ups...

where are you on the one arm pull ups or chin ups?
