World's Largest Pseudo-Omnivore Does Stuff!

I have decided that my ultimate goal is to lose 100 lbs from my starting weight of 332.

I was lifting and boxing occasionally for about a year (directionless, weak lifting and very little boxing). I sprained my MCL on my left knee in July 07.

I am 6' 3" and (332) 320 as of DEC 31, 2007.

Bench 175x1 (205 3/08)
Squat 160x1 (265 4/18/08)
DL 355x1 (405 4/16/08)

Goals:

1. Get the weight below 300.
2. Get the weight below 300.
3. Get the weight below 300.
4. Get the weight below 300.
5. Get the weight below 300.

This is all that matters. Weak or strong, I am FAT. I will through clean eating, sobriety, cardio, and weight lifting acheive this goal.

I need to exercise moderation to be able to maintain a consistent long-term commitment that will be required. This is the toughest part for me. I tend to go bananas or do nothing. My lack of skill at finding a happy medium is why I am fat in the first place.

For now:

low to moderate aerobic cardio 30 min every day (maybe twice a week). I need to work on this, but school and wrok are keeping me busy. (I think this is a reasonable minimum)

Is that your routine? You may want to reconsider.

Read this about losing weight:
Lost 57lbs in 4 months... and still going.

The guy's user ID is now slampiece.

Lose some weight and then lift.

Honestly, you're probably not fit enough to really lift yet.

He is fresh out of a knee brace - still hobbling.

Just something to get started.

who says I am "really" lifting. I am using weightlifting as part of my routine for losing weight and getting fit. I'll "really" lift when I get into better shape. The idea that getting fit or losing weight being separate from lifting is a bit confusing. I'll lift then lose some weight. Then I will "really" lift and "really" lose some weight.
