It's not a switch step woogie. I take a small step forward, so I need to work on my range.
I thought the bruise would bother me during squats which actually turned out to be not so bad. It hurt pretty badly this morning though. Feeling good now though.
Can't wait for MT tonight. I officially signed up for a seminar with the instructor that my school is named for that occurs next saturday and sunday (Oct 27 and 28).

Very nice log you got going on here. ttd. If the weather gets cold when you start doing sprints, do stair sprints, indoor hill climbers, etc. if you don;t have access to an indoor facility.

Thanks, finnegan. I am very lucky to be where I am (didn't really plan this when I took my job). I have a huge park in my backyard allowing me all different types of terrain for sprints and hills and general training fun. I plan to do my work out there through the winter, but we shall see how well that goes when it is 27 degrees outside. I may be taking your advice at that point.
What do you mean by indoor hill climbers? Similar to mountain climbers?
Man I am starting to love the jump rope. I am getting more agile with it, too. I need to get faster, but I've noticed I trip a lot less with it and it goes more smoothly, so I think the speed will come as I push it more each time.

An indoor hill climber is a term I made up. Basically, you start at the bottom of the stairs, and scramble up them as fast as you can on your hands and feet, jog down, and repeat.

On DL, I told you to pull back as you pull upward. I just read something saying not to do this. It said to think "hips forward" instead.

I realized a few things at MT tonight. We began doing padwork tonight. I learned that it hurts to get hit holding the pads, and it is fucking tiring for my arms to hold them up especially when I lifted the night before. Also, it gives me a great chance to watch someone else do the techniques and think about openings while they are doing them.
As I said, I was pretty tired tonight especially to begin with. We warmed up, did pad work, and finished on the heavy bag. I started with leg kicks which felt awesome. Leg kicks are one of my favorite techniques and it felt like I was throwing them really crisp. I then did push kicks, and after two rounds I turned around and saw everyone on the benches. I couldn't believe training was over.
Despite the fact that I was really tired to begin, once I caught my second wind, I really felt in the zone, whatever that means. I'll lift tomorrow, and I will lift hard in order to earn my two days off this weekend.

I was really tired before lifting today, but finished everything without any real problems, more on that later.
Bench
125x5x5
Tried to drive a little more from the bottom and use more back. Form might have been a little worse, but I'll keep focusing on it.
Squat
45x5 55x5 65x5 75x5 95x5
95 felt a little heavy, but that might just be because of the 20 pound jump. The last 4 reps weren't difficult. My form is getting better and I am getting lower, but I still need to work on it. I think it will come with time.
BORs
95x5
Not difficult and made sure feet were closer together and I pulled the weight to my stomach instead of my chest.
I feel as though I could increase all of my weights and finish, but I'm holding off for two reasons. First, I want to focus on form first, especially for the lifts I haven't done prior to this program. Second, while I am not too sore after the workouts, I wake up pretty tired and I believe my sluggishness to begin muay thai was because of the extra work my body was doing. Likely, I'll get used to it and start getting into weights that challenge me more.

Yesterday I relaxed most of the day but got bored around 2. I skipped rope for a few rounds and shadowboxed for 3 rounds (~3 min I think). I stretched afterward.
Today I am resting all day. Tomorrow I will go hard.
