You know, I used to stretch out in the mornings before we ran, back then we did a lot more conditioning in the am than we do now. Still, I think that proper diet and yes, ENZYMES, help to prevent the swelling and buildup of lactic acid in the muscles. I don't normally eat alot of fruits or vegs, but I've started to eat more recently on account of shinsplints and general health. The splints are going away, so I think the plants and the enzymes obtained from it were the missing link.
Still at 152 (jeez). I'm gonna focus on eating more protein. Eating at night (duh) has been the killer for me, cuz I usually have a whole dinner when I come home from work. Now I've taken to protein shakes at night, maybe experiment with the whole soup-for-dinner thing. And more ephedra.

Wed 10/31: Watched Iran Barkley administer an unruly beatdown unto one Thomas Hearns. Hit him with the right on his way down just for good measure. I haven't seen a ton of Hearns' fights, but I've certainly never seen him so overwhelmed by a match of his strength and ruthlessness.
And then we ran 2 miles to the park and back.
Gym time: I shoulda worn a wig to the gym or sumthin....
1 round stretching. Should do more.
1 round ring jacks. Energy pills kick in.
3 rounds shadowboxing. Need to focus more on combos, endless 1-2s will not win a fight. Also focused on moving around, not standing still, throw while moving, on the back foot, need to move my head more.
2 rounds double end bag. Not so good today, but focusing on speed and accuracy more than power.
3 rounds of mitts wit Big Mike. I can feel when my footwork is off, because I don't get good leverage or power when I throw. He has me throwing some insane 7,8,9 punch combos. And they land HARD. I've gotta be good the whole time, too, cuz we can both feel when I'm not throwing hard and Mike yells at me "Don pull it!! Trow de right hand, let it go!!!" I've gotta stand with my feet wide and knees bent to get the motion right, and Mike stands just out of range so that I've gotta step in with my punches. He'll make a boxer of me yet.....
2 rounds of speed bag. One of my best ever. I went faster than I had before, and held the rhythm for a whole round. I'm like Mayweather now yo...
2 rounds skip rope. Nvm, I'm not like Mayweather yo...
Conditioning:
2x10 lat pulldowns, pecho y espalda.
3x10 pushup circuit.
3x10 dips. I'm hungry.
And that does her for the day guys. No trick or treating for me, I'd rather relax at home and hand out little Ex Lax chews to the kids. Firefox out.

Thu 11/1: Today watched Bobby Chacon vs Cornelius Boza-Edwards. Totally lopsided victory. I feel B.E. won the fight in stunning fashion, ripping Chacon's face into shreds and pushing him around the ring in the last few rounds, but politics has its way in the end.
2m around the park.
Gym time:
1 round stretch.
1 round ring jacks.
3 rounds shadowboxing. Gotta move more, move when I'm throwing combos. I know what I do wrong, but in the moment, when all I'm thinking about is attacking, I forget the things I need to do to make sure I don't get knocked out.
3 rounds heavybag. Standard moving around, throwing combos, throwing with my body weight, footwork, etc.
2 rounds double-end. Still having trouble with speed.
2 rounds speed bag. Better than the day before, but still needs plenty work.
2 rounds skip rope to calm down. As I'm walking away from the mirrors, Eddie Mustafa-Mohammed, trainer at Top Rank and former world class boxer himself I believe, laughs and goes, "Good work, Duran." I reply, "Ya, but it still needs work." He laughed his ass off at that.
Conditioning:
3 sets of ab pyramid.
3x10 v-ups with the big giant balance ball they have in the weight room.
10 hindu pushups.
I meant to do more, but the crappy ass water company shut off the water to the gym for the day, so I had to go back home to shower before work. Nice of them to give us ample warning of this. Firefox out.

No it's just the shots, I stay on my toes and dance around that ring like Jlo on crack. Can't no one move purtier than I do!!!!
Oh and btw I forgot to post about Fri, I'll include it on my log tonight about today's upcoming sparring sesh. David looks strong, and he looks like a come-forward volume puncher. Which is great, cuz I've gotten in a couple rounds with Liu to show me how to keep a guy coming to me and move around so that I don't get pulled into an all out brawl. Today I'm mostly gonna focus on technique and finesse, I know I can brawl, but I wanna see how well I can bait guys into traps and how well I can fight on the back foot. I may look wacky when I'm moving around, but I've never done things quite the way others do, and that's an advantage that comes into play only when I'm in the ring. I can surprise even myself sometimes with my instincts and maneuvering. We'll see how well I've mastered my awkward style today. I feel bloodthirsty....
