Huh.

Well, there go all the "Missus has gone anorexic" jokes. You look like a real boxer, Martin.

I'll leave the verbal abuse to Enright.

I've seen real anorexics. They didn't look much like you.

Now, go to Vegas and get some pics of KK knocking you around, okay?

Well, I pretty much go back and forth every hour or so. Cotto is the favorite, and deservedly so. I just have a feeling that it's going to be Tony's night. I think either of these guys CAN beat the other one.

i've been waiting to talk to you about this fight...i want your opinion.

okay...i have flipped flopped over and over again. In the last week I've been leaning towards Tony eventhough Cotto has a ton of skill/talent. I can see either man winning but i'm taking tony.

1st reason: Cotto takes rounds off. Round 10 ( i think ) of his fight with SSM. He was ready to fall. Cotto wasn't boxing he was taking rounds off and this wasn't the first time. Remember when i asked about it in the forum afterwards? I've watched it over and over again. Cotto was looking to fall. Spit out his mouthpiece etc.

2nd reason: To win I think Cotto has to box behind his underated jab. I don't think Cotto possesses the quicks/footspeed to elude tony's attack for a full 12 rounds. After awhile Tony's punches will accumilate forcing Cotto to brawl. BUT...cotto's jab is really really really good.

But here's my thing...Tony's overhand right is underrated and Cotto has to smother it because of the way Tony throws it. Cotto can't do his usual block with the gloves because Tony is moving forward at all times. If he takes the right hand off the gloves, then Tony slips inside and thats tony's fight. I don't like Cotto's chances on the inside for the entire night. a little bit here and there is okay but I get the feeling the minute he tastes a tony uppercut he'll start boxing again.

3rd reason: reason 2 can be nullyfied if Cotto can hurt Tony and gain his respect. I don't think he can hurt Tony. I mean...who the hell stands up to 5 straight rights from Cintron at 147? Thats was just fucking stupid. oh...and tony smiled at him.

4th reason: I don't like the situation in Cotto's camp. At all. The reason to me this is imporotant is nobody in the world at 147 fights like Tony. Trainers are huge in these situations.

5th reason: this is the first fight in a long time where many are counting on Cotto to box his way to victory and not bulldoze.. Can he do that with the Tony? of all people he has to out box tony. we know he can bulldoze.

last reason: Like you said....i think its tony's night. I think he wins via TKO 11th and loses the next two fights to Cotto. Oh...and Tony TKO's Cotto with a uppercut left hook combo.

Hey 5, great analysis. Thing is, there are good and valid reasons for the guys who think Cotto will win as well. This is as much of a pick 'em fight as I have seen in a LONG time. Both guys play to the other one's strengths.

About your point that Tony walked through straight right hands from Cintron, that is true. However, there's a difference between head shots and body shots. Guys with great chins can shake off hard shots to the head, but taking punishing left hooks to the body like Cotto is so good at dishing out is another story.

Bottom line? I wont be surprised regardless of which guy has his hand raised at the end of the night.

Yep..i didn't put the Cotto part down because since you like Cotto in this one I figured you knew what he brought to the table.

Good point about Tony's chin...in that it doesn't really matter when you can't breathe.

Its still a pick em in my eyes but as you can tell im leaning to Tony.

Let me ask you this though...if Cotto drops Tony within say 6 is he the P4P best?
