170kg (375) x3

Tripled my max weight, this intensity cycle seems to be going well, should smash 400 with ease.

Fuck, Smashius is leading the way in this. I'm having several bad form issues. I'm not going to complete the smolov without hurting myself badly. Other lifters watching me squat cringe to see the shit my hips are doing (had a PT tell me I'll be his patient within a year if i keep doing what I'm doing), as such I'm backing dropping weight down to 70% and using accommodating resistance (bands) to hit 100+% at the top. Hopefully this compromise will net both improvements in form and weight increase.

Todays squatting
4x2 @ 225 +100lbs banded resistance at the top; 6x1 @225 w/ 150 lbs banded resistance at the top. hips still swaying, but not as bad as mondays 3x5 @ 285.

These numbers are pathetic. I hate having missed that 365lb squat at the end of the last cycle. the cycle went so well. In between sets when I was feeling particularly bad for myself I got on this really self defeating "how the did I end up here" type mindset, and when I realized that's where I was, I couldn't help but laugh. I mean really, how much can one wallow in their misery without adding too it. At least I have the ability to correct it, I'm not injured, I'm in the presence of good lifters, and i have two months to hit a new max. Things aren't so bad. I may not hit 405, but I'll be god damned if I'm going to let this fucking lift beat me. I HATE squats, and if It takes me every hour of my down time to make this shit work, I'm gonna fucking get my squat numbers up.

Too bloody right you are, keep lifting, focus on sorting out your form issues and fixing any imbalanmces and mobility issues, your squat will come up if you just use patience and determination on that fucker.

Last night's squat session - 152.5kg (335) x5x5

Not fun.

She started geared, she'll end in the same gear. It's legit as far as I can tell. Am I wrong? My understanding was that the only "assisting" gear you could add on to your initial posted number was a belt, meaning if you posted a raw number initially, you could belt up for your PR at the end. You couldn't add a squat suit or briefs. but if you began in a squat suit or briefs, the same level of gear could be retested in the end. So there would be no jumping from single ply to triple ply, but using singly ply in both would be acceptable.

A slight technique change can add 30+ pounds instantly without gaining any actual strength. If she adds 100+ pounds in 2 months it is some what off putting. But I guess time will tell.

It'll come back just gotta get your groove back and the same weight will go flying.

At the moment smolov is completely messing up my cns and its getting tough but nothing a hellova lot more food wont sort out (that and a shit load of concentrated aggression when it comes to squatting).
My body hates me but I still find this fun.
